Solution Deployed but the Custom Workflow Activities are not available

Uncle Paul or other: I've deployed the solution, however, the Custom Workflow Activities are visible in SPD, but they are not added to the workflow after clicking the action button.
For example: From SPD workflow
  1. Click Action.
  2. Click one of the Custom Activities like lookup site user property.
  3. Action window closes, but the activity is not added to the workflow.
    Any ideas for me to try?

Maybe duplicate of 7794

That works for me (in ticket 7794):

I had the same issue with an SP2 box but when I added the following to the web.config file it started allowing me to add the extended workflow actions to the workflow in SPD.

<authorizedType Assembly="DP.Sharepoint.Workflow, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0298457208daed83" Namespace="DP.Sharepoint.Workflow" TypeName="*" Authorized="True" />

Thanks awolski for the reference to FMannings solution, adding that line to my web.config for my extranet site allowed me to add the functions to a new workflow. Before that I tried adding the functions but nothing was being added to the workflow.

Yep this worked for me - seems this web.config change is a manual step in most Workflow activity installations. Glad I found it!

Hi Everyone,
I have SharePoint 2010 Server. I recently installed SP1 AND December 2012 Cumulative update successfully. After that while testing I am unable to add customs actions to workflow in SPD 2010 neither my previous workflows with these actions are workflow.
I have made changes to web.config, but didn't help. Let me know if someone has the solution
Any help is appreciated!
